Dr Sushindri Sridharan is a“doctorpreneur” who strongly believes the introduction of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in healthcare will provide more effective results. She is a doctor and holds an entrepreneurship degree from Havard Business School. She has also equipped herself with a course on AI in Healthcare from Stanford University. She has recently won the prestigious Young Entrepreneur Award for the year 2021 by the Indian Achiever’s Forum.
Dr Sushindri Sridharan aspires to build intelligent technologies that will encourage healthier behaviour in individuals to achieve the best possible quality of life. Her other goal is to put better technology in the hands of doctors to deliver better care in this challenging digital era.
She says, “The future of healthcare is shaping up in front of our very eyes with advances in digital healthcare technologies, such as artificial intelligence, VR/AR, 3D-printing, robotics or nanotechnology. We have to familiarize ourselves with the latest developments in order to be able to control technology and not the other way around. The future of healthcare lies in working hand-in-hand with technology. Healthcare workers have to embrace emerging healthcare technologies in order to stay relevant in the coming years.”
Dr Sushindri says that she believes that this is the only way forward and that technology can only aid and improve the lives. In medicine and healthcare, digital technology could help transform unsustainable healthcare systems into sustainable ones, equalize the relationship between medical professionals and patients provide cheaper, faster and more effective solutions for diseases – technologies could win the battle for mankind against infectious disease and could simply lead to healthier individuals living in healthier communities.
Dr Sushindri strongly believes that artificial intelligence has the potential to redesign healthcare. AI algorithms are able to mine out medical records, design treatment plans ,templates or create drugs way faster than any current actor on the healthcare palette including any medical professional. That is why we need to integrate AI with healthcare as soon as possible so that we can save the lives of millions.
“Time and health are two precious assets that we don’t recognize and appreciate until they have been depleted,” this quote has never been truer in recent times. We need to make sure the people understand this in the current scenario we live in. People are busy and have no time to waste. With the introduction of technology in the healthcare system, we will be able to provide affordable and as well efficient healthcare for everyone thus improving the lives of people around us.
